minor policy
Under 18? Here’s what you need to know!
You’ll need your parent or legal guardian to be present with you for all services. Even if you’re just getting your jewelry changed!
If you’re getting a piercing, we’ll need to see some ID!
**Both the minor and the parent need to have photo ID** in addition to a copy of a birth certificate or guardianship certificate.
**Photo ID of the child is not required for kids under the age of 14 getting earlobe piercings**
If there is a mismatch of last names and/or addresses between the parent and minor, you will need to provide legal documentation of the relationship (court documentation of legal guardianship or adoption).
Please note that being the step-parent of a minor does not automatically grant you legal guardianship. You will need to provide documentation declaring that you are the legal guardian of the minor.
We need your ID every time you request any service, even if you have shown it on a prior occasion.
ID’s that work for a minor:
Birth Certificate or Guardianship certificate
accompanied by:
ID’s from parents
We realize this can be a lot for a piercing. Please understand that for your child’s safety, we need to establish that your child’s chaperone is a parent or legal guardian and can make legal decisions on behalf of the child. If you have any questions about ID requirements, please don’t hesitate to give us a call! (415) 553-7771
infant ear piercing
We recognize that piercing infants is part of a larger conversation about culture, tradition, and parental choice. While opinions vary, we respect every family’s decision.
We offer infant ear piercing by appointment only in a safe, professional, and sterile environment.
We understand that ear piercing is an important cultural tradition for many families and we are honored to provide this service with care, respect, and professionalism.
Piercing a baby or young child’s ears is one of the most difficult and technically demanding services we offer. We don’t suggest piercing babies over 6 months old. Once a baby has reached 6 months or older, they find their hands, which can make healing a challenge.
Because the health and well-being of your child is our highest priority, we require proper documentation for both the child and the accompanying parent/legal guardian at the time of the appointment. For all babies and little kids, we need their birth certificate and parent with photo ID. (Photo ID of the child is not required for kids under the age of 14 getting earlobe piercings.)
All infant ear piercing appointments include a thorough consultation to ensure parents understand the procedure, aftercare requirements, and healing process.

All of our initial piercing jewelry is manufactured in the USA and is guaranteed from manufacturers defects. Breaking jewelry sucks, but its not the end of the world! Bring it back and we can have it fixed or replaced. We cannot guarantee jewelry that is lost or missing.
